The school of graduate studies at Concordia University decided to promote graduate student research through videos created by film graduate students. The called it ‘In-Focus: portraits of Concordia graduate student researchers through the lens of filmmakers from the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema’. I was invited to contribute to the project and I choose to profile Navid Sharifi, a great researcher on engineering materials that is currently developing materials to avoid the creation of ice in the wings of planes.
